Part I: The Origin of AIFC

36. Certification Model

1 min read

If compliance can be claimed, it can be abused.

Therefore AIFC needed a certification model.

The certification model asks:

  • What is the scope?
  • What level is claimed?
  • What evidence exists?
  • Who reviewed it?
  • Is it self-assessment or independent review?
  • What are the exceptions?
  • What is the validity period?
  • What are the gaps?
  • What is the improvement plan?

This protects against certification theater.

The principle:

No certification without scope. No claim without evidence. No maturity without review.

AIFC certification is not meant to be a decoration.

It should verify governed capability.
